Marc Marquez had a titanium plate inserted in his humerus last December at the Rúber International Clinic in Madrid, but a stubborn infection was preventing the fracture from healing properly, hindering the regeneration of the injured bone.
Over the last few days, however, there was an air of optimism surrounding the Catalan legend. The pilot himself, for instance, recently published some photographs on social networks in which he appeared exercising with a 5-kilo weight for the first time since he began his convalescence.
Marc Marquez, whose very career has been jeopardised by this injury, now seems to have a new and promising chance ahead of him. When he first broke his humerus many were the voices that warned about the seriousness of this type of injury, which, on occasions can take several years to heal completely.
