2020 Andalucía MotoGP: Fabio Quartararo wins and strengthens its leadership without Marc Márquez

Fabio Quartararo (Petronas SRT) has easily added his second consecutive victory since his pole position in the 2020 Andalucía MotoGP, which took place last Sunday at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit, just one week after the 2020 Spanish MotoGP.

After the French came the official Yamaha of Maverick Viñales & Valentino Rossi, resulting in a triplet of the Iwata machines.

The fourth place in the classification was for Takaaki Nakagami with the Honda of the LCR, just ahead of a sensational Joan Mir (Suzuki), fifth, and a gray Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati).

Thus the things, the competition has supposed a blow of authority of the Frenchman, who leaves our country as outstanding leader of the General classification with 50 points -10 more than Viñales- and as a firm candidate for the title.

Without a doubt, the absence of the great favorite before the start of the course, Marc Márquez, opens the way to the fight for the championship for ‘20’. The six-time Spanish champion has been unable to compete as he was recovering from last Tuesday’s operation.

Next week (7-9 August) the third round of the unusual thirteen-round World Championship will take place at the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic 2020 at the Brno Autodrome, where Marc will reappear.
