Brazilian GP F1 2019 Preview

The F1 World Championship arrives at Brazilian GP F1 2019 this weekend for the penultimate race of this season’s calendarThe José Carlos Pace Circuit will once again be host to a very warm and festive race, and with the Sao Paulo fan base keeping Ayrton Senna’s memory very much alive.

The twentieth scale of the year arrives with both the driver (Lewis Hamilton) and constructor (Mercedes) titles already decided but there are other juicy positions still up for grabs.

One of the most contentious ones will be the fight for the third place of the individual classification, currently in the hands of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc with 249 points. Fourteen points behind is Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and nineteen points down is Leclerc’s teammate Sebastien Vettel.

Leclerc’s advantage, however, could shrink rapidly. First, the Monegasque will be down ten positions in the starting grid as penalty for changing the engine of his SF90. In addition, Verstappen traditionally performs really well at this circuit. He was second last year and the only reason he did not win was a light touch that he suffered with the Force India of Esteban Ocon.

Further down in the standings there will be another struggle for the sixth place at the Brazilian GP F1 2019. McLaren’s Spaniard, Carlos Sainz, will be in a quest to attempt and remove Alex Albon from such position. The Anglo-Thai driver has 84 points in total, four more than Sainz, thanks to his much superior machine.

The Spaniard, however, will have to keep an eye on Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly, who is just four points behind him. After swapping the RB15 for the STR13, the Frenchman seems to be been reborn from his ashes.

As for the constructor’s ranking, we could also expect to see a fierce battle between Toro Rosso (65 points) and Force India (64 points) for sixth place. There’s big money at stake. Ferrari’s red missiles will be another couple to watch this weekend.

After the Dutchman’s accusations on the alleged irregularities of the cars from Maranello, they would want to respond with a great performance. They dream is to get their third win of the year, or at the very least, their nineteenth podium at the Brazilian GP F1 2019.
