Dani Sordo’s first win of the year at the Rally Stars Rome Capitale 2020

The official Hyundai driver in the WRC, Dani Sordo, has secured his first victory of the season in the ‘Rally Stars‘, reserve test of the WRC cars in the Rally di Roma, inaugural round of the European Rally Championship that ended last Sunday.

Along with his faithful co-driver Carlos del Barrio, the Cantabrian Dani Sordo has shown muscle against his adversaries and private brand partners, Pierre-Louis Loubet and Vincent Landais.

In this way, the national duo has returned to its i20 Coupé WRC for the first time since mid-March when they participated in the Rally of Mexico 2020 with a great result.

Not surprisingly, after completing 200 kilometers in the transalpine appointment reserved for cars of the World Rally Championship, they have won fourteen of the fifteen sections on their return to international activity after the confinement imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Apart from the victory, which is secondary in an event like this, what is important for Sordo / Del Barrio was being back on their WRC machine after this four-and-a-half month break.
