MotoGP Jerez 2023 Highlights

Last weekend, the Jerez Circuit was home to the fourth round of the 2023 MotoGP Season, which ended up being an exciting race, ending with a win for Francesco Bagnaia from Ducati. The race was marked by a bravely fought battle between the Italian and the KTM rider, Brad Binder.

An Intense Duel for the Lead

Bagnaia took the lead from the very beginning of the race and stayed in front until lap 15, when he was overtaken by Binder. However, the Ducati rider was resilient enough to keep pushing and got the lead back, only three laps before the chequered flag. From then on, both riders had a back-and-forth duel, with Bagnaia coming out on top.

Quartararo Crashed and Fell Behind

Last weekend’s race ended for Fabio Quartararo in the very first laps of the race, as the French rider fell from his bike and took Portuguese Miguel Oliveira along with him. This happened in the very same place on which, last season, Quartararo had finished the race on top. This year, however, the French rider wasn’t so lucky.

The Championship’s Standings So Far

After this exhilarating race, Bagnaia regained the 2023 Championship lead and is now considered a title contender. With Bezzechi crashing as well during the race, Bagnaia leads from a distance and Binder claims third place in the Championship, on a very close fight for the lead.
