Marc Márquez, successfully operated on his arm

The Spanish Repsol Honda team rider, Marc Márquez, underwent a satisfactory surgery on Tuesday for a fracture in the distal third of his right humerus. The injury occurred after falling off last Sunday’s race at the Spanish GP in Jerez, the opening round of the calendar.

The operation, carried out by the medical team led by Dr. Xavier Mir at the Quirón Dexeus Hospital in Barcelona, has ruled out the injury to the radial nerve of Marc Márquez.

Otherwise, the recovery would have taken about four to six weeks more than expected, which would have prevented him from fighting for the title.

To resolve the injury of Marc Márquez caused by the impact of the wheel of his own motorcycle, surgeons have implanted a titanium plate and several screws with which the fracture has been fixed.

Marc Márquez wanted to race at Andalucia MotoGP, but he can´t due his pain.
