Spaniard Suzuki MotoGP rider Alex Rins recently confirmed that he has extended the contract that binds him to the Japanese team for two more years. Thus, they will compete together until the end of 2022, completing a six-year period in the World Cup highest series.

The  USA GP &  British GP 2019 expressed his satisfaction with the agreement with these words: “My wish was to continue with Suzuki and finally this is what I have done. I think that the project has the potential to be a winner,and I want to win. Therefore, we both have the same objectives ”.

“It is the perfect place for me and we are working very hard to get great results. I have always believed in the team and for this reason it was easy to reach a basic agreement from the beginning. ”

Along the same line, the head of the Japanese team, Davide Brivio, stated: “We are delighted to confirm that Álex Rins will continue as Suzuki MotoGP official rider. With this agreement, we will strengthen our relationship to complete six years together, and we think that this stability will be positive for all of us”.

Thus, the rumors regarding the signing of Hammamatsu have been fulfilled. Not surprisingly, the eastern force had already expressed its intention to retain its current line-up, made up of Rins himself and his Majorcan partner, Joan Mir, who is still waiting for news.
